5-hydroxytryptamine is converted to N-acetyl-5-hydrotryptamine by 5-hydroxytryptamine-N-acetyltransferase;N-acetyl-5-hydrotryptamine is converted into 5-methoxy-N-acetamide(melatonin MeI)by hydroxylation oxygen methyl transferase,which is the key to MT synthesis.
