When the external light is bright, melatonin secretion will be suppressed, when the external light is dim, it will stimulate melatonin secretion, helping us to better enter and maintain a good sleep.

The standard of melatonin use varies around the world, and China currently allows it to be used as a health food ingredient. According to statistics, from 1996 to 2015, China has approved 740 varieties of health care products claiming to improve sleep, and there are 164 melatonin-containing products.
