1 Biological activity on capillaries

Troxerutin can inhibit the aggregation of red blood cells and platelets,increase the vascular resistance of small arteries,inhibit the increase of capillary permeability and reduce the abnormal blood seepage of capillaries,prevent thrombosis,improve microcirculation,increase the oxygen content in blood,promote the formation of new blood vessels to improve the circulation of side chains,etc.Therefore,it is commonly used in clinical practice to treat cerebral thrombosis,thrombophlebitis,and capillary bleeding.

2 Effectively absorb ultraviolet and resist blue light

UV irradiation can cause skin damage,skin discoloration,and skin aging,and the impact of blue light(400nm~500nm)in visible light on the skin cannot be ignored.The penetration of blue light to the skin is stronger than UVA,reaching the dermis,disturbing the circadian rhythm of the skin,accelerating skin photoaging and causing skin pigmentation.Troxerutin can effectively block ultraviolet and blue light from 380nm to 450nm,and the effective concentration can be as low as 0.025%.

3 Resistance to UV damage

Early studies have shown that troxerutin can inhibitγRadiation induced lipid peroxidation in subcellular organelle,cell membranes and normal tissues of tumor mice.

Troxerutin against hydroxyl radical and ABTS.+The elimination effect of free radicals is similar to that of VC,which may be related to the active phenolic hydroxyl groups on the aromatic ring.

5 Enhance skin barrier function

Troxerutin can regulate miR-181a to accelerate the differentiation of keratinocytes,consolidate the"brick wall structure"of the skin,and thus enhance the skin barrier function.The increased mRNA expression level of keratinocyte differentiation markers(such as keratin 1,keratin 10,skin protein,and filaggrin)confirmed that troxerutin can promote keratinocyte differentiation.
